📚 Qovog‘idan qor yog‘moq

B2 daraja

Bu ibora odamning kayfiyati juda yomon, xafa yoki jahldor ekanini bildiradi. Odamning yuzidan uning kayfiyati bilinib turganda ishlatiladi.

📝 Bugun opamning qovog‘idan qor yog‘ib yuribdi.

This Uzbek idiom describes someone who is in a bad mood, upset or angry. It is used when a person looks unhappy or annoyed.

📝 My sister is in a bad mood today.

Это узбекское выражение означает, что человек не в духе, расстроен или сердится. Обычно так говорят, когда по лицу человека видно, что у него плохое настроение.

📝 Сегодня моя сестра не в духе.

🇺🇿 The 2026 International Olympiad in Informatics starts today in Tashkent.

🏆 The IOI is the ultimate coding competition for high-school students. Years ago, many members of the Telegram team won medals there.

🤝 To support the best young programmers in the world, Telegram will award the 235 winners exclusive digital collectibles — Algorithm Cups — worth at least $117,000 in total.

🕌 It’s fitting that IOI is hosted in Uzbekistan — the homeland of Al-Khwarizmi, the father of algebra whose name became the word “algorithm."

Let the best algorithm win! 💪

A very interesting video about Uzbek dialects. It presents 13 words from the Tashkent, Bukhara, and Kashkadarya dialects (Sheva). Khorezm dialect is missing, though.

We know a lot about the Tashkent dialect because, originally, theatre, cinema, and television were broadcast from the capital.

With the rise of social media and blogging, we can now hear Uzbek dialects more widely. I dream of seeing them documented in a proper academic study. I’m sure such works already exist, but perhaps they haven’t been made public yet.

I’ll leave the list of the 13 words featured in the video in the comments. I tried using AI to create a table, but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted. Maybe you can do it better.

What do you think about having a series like this about Uzbek dialects?

Have you noticed differences not only in pronunciation, but also in the words themselves?

Look at the different variations of the word CAT 🐈‍⬛!

🔥 — if you think we should continue

Beatiful and easy to remember song!

Sogʻindim - I missed you my dear one 🤍

Love that kids caught its vibe too. Unfortuntely, there are not many kids friendly songs. Look at 67 song, they can’t stop singing it! While this one was written ages ago, we still haven’t created songs in Uzbek kids would love to sing too

By the way, this song was analyzed in one of the YouTube videos. Watch if you haven’t still. I love this song because it helps to learn Present and Past simple

Ps: I missed my job and hometown. Glad that we are back.

Qayt+gani+miz+dan xursand+man!

Bugun havo juda yoqimli. Quyosh charaqlab turibdi va tashqarida o'tirish uchun ajoyib kun. Men kichkina kafega bordim. Kafe binoning ichida emas, balki ochiq havoda joylashgan. Men yolg'iz stolga o'tirdim va issiq qahva buyurtma qildim. Atrofimda baland daraxtlar va ko'chadan o'tayotgan odamlar bor. Men kitob o'qimayapman, telefonimga ham qaramayapman. Shunchaki qahvamni ichib, atrofdan zavqlanyapman. Bugun juda xotirjam va ajoyib kun.

EN   The weather is very pleasant today. The sun is shining brightly, and it is a wonderful day to sit outside. I went to a small café. The café is not inside a building but is located outdoors. I sat down at a table by myself and ordered a hot coffee. Around me, there are tall trees and people walking along the street. I am not reading a book, and I am not looking at my phone either. I am simply drinking my coffee and enjoying my surroundings. Today is a very peaceful and wonderful day.

About “Men maladesman” concept

And cyrillic letter Ц

#MENMALADESMAN

Let's play the game "Men maladesman..."

For example:
MEN MALADESMAN CHUNKI 2ta VEBINAR OʻTKAZDIM.

I'm awesome because I held two webinars. (And I'm preparing for the third one.)

Men maladesman, chunki FUTBOL HAQIDA platformada darslar yaratdim.
I'm awesome because I created lessons about football on the platform.

You can write the second part in English. Or write it however you can—I’ll correct it if necessary.

Men maladesman, because I enrolled in your course.

Men maladesman, chunki because I haven't given up learning Uzbek.

Men maladesman, because I learned 10 more new phrases/grammar structures.

And if you didn't have any achievements in Uzbek but had achievements in other areas, you don't have to explain why. You can simply write:

Men shunchaki maladesman! 😅
I'm awesome just because!

Positive encouragement is important in everything we do, both for students and teachers. Let's support each other and keep learning Uzbek together in this new month!

#BirDaqiqalikHikoya
#OneMinuteStory

🎬 Bir kuni ishga ketayotgan yigit yo‘lda hassasi tushib ketgan keksa kishini ko‘rdi. U darhol to‘xtab, hassani olib berdi va yo‘lni xavfsiz kesib o‘tishiga yordam berdi.
Keksa kishi tabassum qilib:
— Yaxshilik hech qachon yo‘qolmaydi. U albatta o‘zingga qaytadi, — dedi.
Bir necha kundan keyin yigitning mashinasi buzildi. Notanish bir inson unga yordam berdi. Shunda yigit yaxshilikning qadri naqadar buyuk ekanini tushundi.

One day, a young man was walking to work when he saw an elderly man who had dropped his walking stick. He stopped, picked it up, and helped the old man cross the road safely.
The elderly man smiled and said,
"A good deed is never forgotten. One day, it will come back to you."
A few days later, the young man's car broke down. A stranger stopped and helped him. At that moment, he remembered the old man's words and realized that every good deed has its reward.
Moral: Every good deed comes back to you.
