A massive wildfire is spreading in Nevada: the blaze has engulfed more than 4,000 hectares and threatens approximately 1,000 homes, according to Fox News.

A state of emergency has been declared in the Reno area, and evacuations have begun. Authorities report that the fire has already destroyed several buildings and continues to spread rapidly due to strong winds.

About 400 people are fighting the fire, and helicopters have been deployed to help extinguish it.
