She is a member of a Korean girl group called Ive under Starship Entertainment and is also known for finishing first in Mnet's girl group survival reality television show Produce 48 and debuting with Iz*One in 2018. Being the most fluent in English in her former group, Iz*One, Wonyoung used to go to an English pre-school and she never lived abroad. Her favourite ice cream flavour is mint chocolate. She also ranked 88th on TC Candler "The Most Beautiful Faces of 2018".
