🇱🇧 Hezbollah and Green Without Borders

The organization has been accused to have links with the Hezbollah's group and help them to get better positions in the country as hiding ammo depots under the ground in the GWB's outposts. The US Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Asset Control targeted the organization, it said that GWB has supported in secret Hezbollah's operations along the "Blue line", a line demarcating Israeli and Lebanese borders, while working as an environmental group.

Brian E. Nelson, Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, emphasized in a statement : "The United States rejects Hezbollah’s cynical efforts to cloak its destabilizing terrorist activities with false environmentalism." The organization has been founded in 2013 and was first an environment keeper but has deviated from its first goal. Zuhair Subhi Nahla, leader of GWB, has strong connections with Hezbollah and, as the US Treasury's statement said, assumes his links between GWB and the group.

🇸🇾🇮🇷💵 $50 billions from Iranian regime to Syrian regime, leaked documents

Since the beginning of the Syrian civil war, approximately $50 billion have been given to Syrian regime of Bashar Al Assad from the Iranian regime. Nonetheless, only $18 billion have been repaid by the Syrian regime ; not in cash but in couple of projects. These leaked documents have been found by an Iranian group so called "GhyamSarnegoui" (translating in "Rise to Overthrow" in Farsi language), this group leaked documents stressing that Iranian regime gave $50 billion to Syria but later they leaked that Iran found difficulties to reclaim them back.

According to the document, claims of Tehran are divided in two categories : military and non military. In the first category, it is said that Iran gave cash during the 13 years of civil war but exported oils and still do nowadays. In October 2022, Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade and former Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban signed a document that stipulates $18 billion of non military debts have to be repaid on a 50 years timeline.

Syria and Iran agreed on multiple projects to pay debts : a phosphate mine with a capacity of 1.05 billion tons that was already in project since 2015. It will answer the Iranian's needs of phosphate for agricultural sector, it needs 530 000 tons of phosphate annually. To receive their portions, Iran guaranteed to invest $215 million in this mine that has been built in three years. the construction started in 2018 and so since February, 2.05 million tons of phosphate have been taken from the mine.
Another project is about Syrian oil, there is a reserve of 100 million barrels of oil in the city of Homs. Iranian government has to invest 300 million dollars during a 30 years contract started in 2020 so Iran will receive $3.4 billions of Syrian debts during these 30 years.

Iran and Syria prepared a couple of other projects as sharing Latakia's port revenues or more.

However, about military debts, it is not defined by Iran and Syria yet. That might happen because of disagreements between the two parties. We emphasize that Iranian participated in this war that caused the death of 307 000 civilians and displaced over 12 million of Syrians. According to reports, over eighty percent of the Syrian population is below poverty line.
