I will tell you something from my experience, there was a magician we saw in a show that told us that one of his hobbies was collecting haunted objects, and that he befriended and enlisted demons to help him in his act.
He also told us that all the world's most skillful magicians and illusionists are only able to do the magic they do because of the demon they've sold their soul to.
The greatest trick they pulled on us is convincing the world that demons do not exist.
