This action of his is an innovation. It’s obligatory for him to leave it and to suffice with the Athān.

There is no harm in praying during the prohibited times, because it (the Salātl-Istikhārah) is from the prayers which are prayed due to a reason, especially so if there was urgency.

I performed the Takbīratl-Ihrām (the Takbīr of entrance of the prayer) for the Duhā prayer, then I remembered an affair for which i wanted to perform Istikhārah.

Can I perform Istikhārah in the Duhā prayer?

📩🔸Answer:

What's most apparent is that it's not valid, and Allah knows best.

Because the Salātl-Istikhārah is a specific prayer, which requires intention from the start.

📩🔸Answer:

Whatever your Lord, free is He from any deficiency, has chosen for you, would become easy for you to do, and your heart would be at ease.

📝🔹Question:

How does a menstruating woman perform Istikhārah?

May Allah bless you Oh Shaykh.

📩🔸Answer:

From the angle of:

(فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ)
"So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can"
[Taghābun:16]

It's permissible to limit (the Istikhārah) to just the supplication.

Shaykh Bin Bāz, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

"It’s recommended (Mustahab) to do Istikharāh even if it’s without the prayer.

That a person seeks to ask their Lord and seek guidance from Him, regardless wether it's a woman doing this or a man, and the same applies wether a woman is menstruating, all of this is fine.

However, it being after the prayer then this is better, it would be a Istikhārah alongside the prayer acting upon the Sunnah (in this).
A person prays two units of prayer, then asks their Lord and seeks guidance from Him regardless if he was a man or a woman.

But if a woman happened to be menstruating or it was to be a matter which could not wait, then Istikhārah can be made without a prayer and there’s no issue in this.

They supplicate to their Lord and Alhamdulilah; Allah says:

(ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ)
“Call upon me I will answer you”
[Ghāfir:60]

And Istikhārah is a supplication directed to Allah."

📝🔹Question:

What is the Salātl-Istikhārah?
And how many units of prayer does it consist of?

📩🔸Answer:

The Salātl-Istikhārah is prescribed for seeking guidance from Allah, concerning a matter a person is hesitant in doing. And the description of it has been mentioned in the Hadith narrated by Jabir bin ‘Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us to seek Istikharāh in our matters, as he would teach us a chapter from the Quran. He [ﷺ] would say:
(إذا هم أحدكم بالأمر فليركع ركعتين من غير الفريضة، ثم ليقل)
“If anyone of you have a worry concerning a matter, he should offer a two unit prayer other than the compulsory ones and say:
(اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلَا أَقْدِرُ وَتَعْلَمُ وَلَا أَعْلَمُ وَأَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ شَرٌّ فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ وَاقْدُرْ لِيَ الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ثُمَّ ارْضِنِي بِه، قال: ويسمى حاجته)

"Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi’ilmika, wa astaqdiruka bi-qudratika, wa as’alaka min fadhlikal ‘atheem Fa-innaka taqdiru wala aqdiru, Wa ta’lamu wala a’lamu, wa anta ‘allamul ghuyub. Allahumma, in kunta ta’lam anna hadhal amra Khairun li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati amri (or ‘ajili amri wa’ajilihi) Faqdirhu wa yas-sirhu li thumma barik li Fihi. Wa in kunta ta’lamu anna hadhal amra sharroon li fi dini wa ma’ashi wa’aqibati amri (or fi’ajili amri wa ajilihi) Fasrifhu anni waas-rifni anhu. Waqdir li al-khaira haithu kana Thumma ardini bihi}

"O Allah I consult you by Your knowledge, And I appeal to you to support me by Your Power and Your Might and I ask for Your blessings. You are all capable and I am not. You know all things and I do not, and You alone know the unseen. O Allah If You know that this is good for my religious benefit and my worldly life and my Hereafter - (or say: If it is better for my present and later needs)– Then fulfil it for me and make it easy for me to obtain, and then bless me in it. And if You know that this would be harmful to me and for my religion and my worldly life and in the Hereafter (or say: If it is worse for my present and later needs) Then turn it away from me and turn me away from it. And ordain for me whatever is good for me, and make me satisfied with it.
And let the supplicant specify his need."

We have groups on WhatsApp and subscribers get add to it, but some of them keep pictures of things with souls as display pictures.

Do we delete them from the group after they have been advised, whilst knowing [Oh Shaykh] that we [ourselves] don't spread pictures with things with souls in our posts?

📩🔸Answer:

If they didn't accept the advise, then the least they can be disciplined with is the removal from the group.
