Cognitive Dissonance
Some Nationalists exhibit glaring cognitive dissonance on the ethnicity and appearance of ancient Israelites. Historically savvy Nationalists readily admit that many ancient civilizations boasted European phenotypes.
Egypt? European.
Sumer? European.
Northern India? European. But Israel? Strictly Jewish! No way they were European!
They pore over archaeology, DNA, and history, conceding population replacements in those regions—but for Israel, they flat-out ignore textual descriptions, artistic portrayals, and hard evidence.
It’s absurd to embrace European populations in Egypt, Sumer, and
even Ethiopia, yet deny any replacement in the Levant.
Ignore the Israelites’ migration from Egypt or Abraham’s Sumerian roots?
Dismiss studies showing blondes
conquering the Levant millennia ago?
These same Nationalists eagerly devour mountains of evidence for European influences stretching across the Middle East and North Africa, and they treat speculative theories of ancient Europeans in South America as ironclad fact. Yet, they blithely dismiss rock-solid sources like the
Book of Maccabees: which touches upon the
shared ancestry of Sparta and Israel - or Flavius Josephus’s
Antiquities of the Jews, which reveals the physical similarities between so-called
Jews and Greeks
A staggering number of them are historically illiterate, utterly clueless about the mass deportations under Assyrian and Babylonian empires that hollowed out the Israelite population, paving the way for Canaanite remnants and Idumeans (descendants of Edomites forcibly converted under John Hyrcanus) to
fill the void. This replacement isn’t some fringe theory: it’s backed by archaeological records, ancient texts, and even the Bible itself, from
Lamentations decrying the exiles to
Ezra and
Nehemiah railing against intermarriages and foreign dilutions.
Letting political bias warp history betrays both truth and intellect.
