Château de Glaignes
Glaignes, Oise, France
The ancient XIIth-centruy castle was demolished and replaced by this castle between 1874-1882, by the Vicomte Henry le Sellier de Chézelles. The Chézelles and the Bertier de Sauvigny family kept the property until 1972, then sold to the The Little Singers of Paris (a boy’s choir, “Manécanterie des Petits Chanteurs à la croix de bois” in French). Sold again, very recently to an Australian businessman that organized a large auction in 2019, getting rid of thousands of items that only took up place (a copy of Napoléon’s throne, carousel horses, Roman shields, medieval armors, etc.)
