If you are starting your preparation now or if you had started just a while ago then:
1. Develop the habit of making notes of everything that you study.
2. To make notes always follow the 20% rule.
Summarise your reading to 20% of the original content. After reading the summarised content several times, try reducing the size of it by 50-80% again to make it more concise.
The better your own notes are the better are your chances of qualifying UPSC CSE.
Make notes of Newspaper, Basic books, Optional books and Optional notes.
