𝓑eing haunted by the memories of her past relationship. Like in most cases, she believed this was her relationship for life. But just like in most cases, it was not meant to be.
𝓓escribes this relationship makes us think that this ex-guy had no intentions of a long-term relationship with her. She wanted to be ‘The One’ for him, but he had already moved on. And trying to hold on to people who are running out of your life is just torture.
In the pre-chorus, she goes as far as to say that she ‘hates’ this person for what they did to her; “𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚, 𝙘𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣’ 𝙪𝙜𝙡𝙮.” The chorus is even worse as she adds “𝙄’𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙖 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”
