Flamingo Sanctuary in Mumbai, India 🇮🇳 🦩
These pink and white flamingos arrive in the Indian city of Mumbai every winter in November - December and remain there until the rains begin.
In August 2015, the Maharashtra State Revenue and Forest Department established a flamingo sanctuary in the northern part of Thane Creek.
An area of 1,690 hectares is allocated for the reserve. Of these, 896 hectares are mangrove forests and 794 hectares are water areas.
For bird watching, you can take an excursion during which tourists explore about 10 km of mangroves by boat. 🥰
