What is Vudi doing on TON?

At the moment, activity in the TON ecosystem seems frozen, as if summer is still going on and users haven't returned from vacation.

Despite the fact that TON developers are celebrating reaching 10 million active wallets in a month, we're seeing no trading volumes, and major projects are adding other networks like Solana and Tron to somehow attract new users and retain old ones.

Lately I've been asked a lot what I'm doing now in such a depressing time, and in order not to answer each one separately, I decided to write this post.

So, I've transferred most of my TON into USDT and am just holding them until better times. The remaining 30K TON I invested in liquid steaking from Bemo, because in addition to interest for steaking, it also earns XP points that can be exchanged for $BMO token in the future.

I keep 3K TON in case of unexpected expenses - in case I have to urgently participate in some project or interact with a new protocol.

I also keep other tokens without selling them, as it's not the most profitable idea at the moment. All $SCALE are in the steaking on DeDust.io (which does not accrue anything yet), and $XROCK is in the steaking on Tonstakers. The percentages are small, but better than nothing.

Other than that, I'm sticking to my "lazy investor" tactics. I don't participate in pools with boosts from TON Foundation, as they seem to be a "lure". Pools with tokens (tokens) are also unstable due to the lack of open league boosts.

All in all, the TON ecosystem is starting to fall back into the same old quagmire. It seems that since Pavel Durov arrest, the ecosystem has gone into defense mode instead of moving forward.

So much negativity in the Watermelon Festival chat about users supposedly being cheated out of the drop. But that's not entirely true.

When the watermelon exchange rate was around $3.5, Alex (the creator of Watermelon Clicker) announced a drop to users of 300,000 watermelons. At that time, there were no hamsters or notcoins, and only crazy people could offer such amounts. Alex was one of them.

He bought 200,000 watermelons from the market and Meta added 100,000. The total value amounted to just over a million dollars. Many channels are now building audiences through buying tasks in various clickers or games. However, those who sell advertising space often don't even realize that this can negatively affect their reputation. Such a scheme has already damaged several projects, so I want to tell you about it to warn you in the future.

Imagine that you are the owner of a promising mini-app in Telegram, whose users are expecting to receive a generous airdrop. You are approached by a Telegram channel whose content consists of referral program PR and stories about mini-apps. At first glance, an ordinary channel, nothing special.

You agree to cooperate, receive funds from the channel and direct the promised traffic to it. The channel grows, the number of subscribers increases, and closer to the end of the agreements comes the moment of X.

The channel is renamed to the name of your project and starts publishing news, copying your official channel, becoming as similar to it as possible. Users don't understand how they ended up on this channel and consider it official, because they subscribed to it through your app.

While your project is working on tokenomics and planning a future token distribution, on the fake channel fraudsters launch airdrop on your behalf. Users are asked to confirm the transaction to receive the tokens.

Naive users agree and sign the transactions, thereby losing funds from their wallets. When they realize that they have been scammed, they start running around chat rooms, accusing the project of fraud and demanding a refund through support. But the project doesn't even suspect that someone has created a channel on its behalf and deceives thousands of active users of the application. In the end, the reputation of the project is lost, as well as the users' funds.

How to protect yourself:
- Projects should not sell advertising space to questionable Telegram channels.
- Users should be careful, check official sources of information and do not sign suspicious transactions.

Be vigilant, don't feed scammers.

A year in two. And no, TVL x2

TON Foundation turned out to be tricky: they failed to reach 1 billion TVL during the five seasons of the Open League, and Pavel Durov's arrest got in the way, so they decided to "cheat" by launching a booster program for liquid steakings.

Why can this be considered cheating? Because such a scheme artificially doubles the TVL. First you place your TONs in liquid steaking - this is already counted in TVL (UPD: the comments say it is not). Then you put the received tokens back into the pool with USDT, and this is also fully counted. Bottom line is that there is a numbers game going on.

I wonder also how they are probing the market, whether people fell for this action. First the boosts were introduced for a week, then for 48 hours. What are they planning? Why not make the boosts at least until the start of the 6th season of the Open League? These moves seem ambiguous and impossible to plan for long term.

Would they really aim to reach 1 billion by November at all costs? Perhaps Durov has set a KPI ahead of Telegram's upcoming IPO. 🦝

Due to the growing community, I want to tell you about KINGY ecosystem channels and chats and their levels.

1. Channels. There are 4 channels:
