Aghora is to be in unity with the divine absolute truth, with loving kindness and compassion in the heart towards everything and anything that could be considered unpleasant or disgusting in this world.

"Live your life fully and face death and dying accordingly. Surrender truly. Don't parrot something you don't understand just to fit in, be comfortable or because it seems right or true. May death be your guide to enlightenment!"

The true khandana is absolute and permanent destruction of false personality, which is composed of all the desires, tastes, aversions, and everything that have accumulated over millions of births. Only when all the imperfect projections are eliminated can one be able to see what is real. The other side of khandana is mandana, and the true mandana is projection of an everlasting form, construction of a true character. Mental khandana and mandana make up the real Khanda Manda Yoga. External and internal khandana are the two ways of performing Khanda Manda Yoga."

- Sri Avadhuteshwar Baba Surya Ram

"Upon the firm, broad earth, the all-begetting mother of the plants, that is supported by divine law, upon her, propitious and kind, may we ever pass our lives."

- Atharva Veda 12.1.17

The Guru is none other than the eternal Shiva. This is the truth. There is no doubt about it, the Guru is Shiva Himself.”

- Kularnava Tantra

"We don't need external ostentation to please God. The method of worshipping or pleasing the Ishta, the divinity dearest to one's heart is kept confidential. Your Ishta is hungry for the Atma-bhava the thinking of yourself in the image of the supreme soul and desires only the flowering of your beautiful heart."

- Sri Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ram

Focus on being grateful of life being good to you compared to many other unlucky fellows and also grateful for the opportunity of consciously seeking freedom in true Self and God realization. If you take a look around you, how many lucky souls as yourself do you really see? How many living beings can you even see? As far as your eyes can see there are countless of souls struggling, in the air, on the ground and underneath it. Just examine your own body and think about how many souls that are struggling there as cells and bacteria praying for a more pleasant birth such as yours. To have a human body is very rare and should be utilized for the benefit of everyone. It’s a very rare opportunity and extremely valuable situation to be in because it facilitate the opportunity for Self and God realization, thus a way out of the dream of Samsara.
-Sri Aghoreshwar Baba Surya Ram

If we ignore our spiritual Guru by considering him to be inferior to God, then there is no point in worshipping God at all."

- Sri Gajanan Maharaj Avadhut

With utmost kindness, the great compassionate one smiled, placed his hand on my head and revealed to me the knowledge (gyan), the science of the inner universe (Vigyan), and stable devotion to my heart (Niralamb). Taking compassion on me, he talked to me about his experience with the light of the lotus body, he related to me knowledge of the formless form, and he established in me my trust in it. Keeping tradition in mind, with great intuition and thought, the great sage imparted the knowledge to me, knowing my impoverished state. Then in the tradition of Guru and disciple, he gave to me the sermon about Jiva and Brahman. He described to me various names and forms of the unperceivable, incomparable form. The Lord of these worlds explained it to me through various means. His teachings went deep into my heart and his words came true before my eyes. Whatever I was able to grasp, I took into my heart. This is what I relate to you in its purest form.”

- Shri Aghoreshwar Mahaguru Baba Kina Ram, Viveksar

Aghoranna paro mantrau nasti tatvam guro param

The very name of Aghora is a mantra that is above all other. There is nothing higher to be known than the real nature of the Guru.

- Shiva Mahimnah Stotram, Shiva Maha Purana photo of ParamGuru Baba Hari Ram

Direct experience, Dharana and Dhyana are essential to progress. Many misunderstand nonduality to mean not two. But it doesn’t, it means no opposites. That nothing is separated from the Divine.”

- Sri Avadhuteshwar Baba Surya Ram
