Wrapping up our first experiment with buying back $WOOF from the market, using half of our royalties from the NFT collection sales

Today, the final auction took place: we transferred all the tokens collected during the buyback to the burn wallet – 349 million $WOOF went up in flames in the blockchain furnace! 🤨 Opening the door, the dogs couldn’t believe their eyes. They found themselves in the same room again.

In the center of the hall sat a rat. Was it the same one? Or its ugly (though how could it be worse) sister? What was going on?

There was no time to look for answers. They had to fight to survive and move forward.

The dogs closed ranks, protecting their treasures and the wounded, and once again repelled the rat, securing another victory.

🥺 When the door opened, the adventurers immediately sensed a change. Instead of the stale air that had accompanied them throughout the cave, they felt a fresh, gentle breeze. The floor was scattered with gold coins, precious gems, and gleaming artifacts that flickered chaotically in the light of their torches.

In the center of the room, a small fountain sparkled, its water shimmering in the beams of light, promising to quench their thirst for a thousand years to come.

➕ At the far end of the hall stood three massive chests, carved from dark wood and adorned with tarnished metal fittings. The walls, though still rough and stone-like, were covered in centuries-old dust, and here and there, faded frescoes depicting ancient battles and feasts could be seen.

Fortune had finally smiled upon the adventurers. Stuffing 3M $WOOF into their pockets and backpacks, they moved on to decide which of the three doors to go through next.

The adventurers hadn’t fully opened the door in the middle when their noses were hit by a stench—a thick, sickly-sweet blend of rot, excrement, and blood.

💩 Struggling to suppress their disgust, they stepped into the room. The sight only heightened the nausea induced by the smell.

In the center of the room, a grotesque, hairy mass was chewing noisily. One step forward — it froze. A step to the side, to get a better look at what stood before them. It turned.

☺️ It was a giant rat, the size of two dogs, with the rage of a thousand chihuahuas burning in its bloodshot eyes.

One thing was clear: to move forward, they had to defeat the creature.

The agile and brave dog-adventurers surrounded the rat and attacked it all at once. At first, it fought back fiercely, even mortally wounding a few of the dogs, but through their combined efforts, they managed to defeat it.

Today marks the launch of the first mission for Lost Dogs NFT holders!

We’re distributing $WOOF and reducing the dog population, hehe. Everything takes place on the blockchain – finally using the technology as intended, like an open database.

We’ve designed a dungeon made up of many rooms. In the final room, participants are guaranteed to receive 30M $WOOF. But will everyone make it to the end?

Some rooms hide treasure, others are empty, and somewhere, danger awaits...

🔅Players start in an empty room. Before them are three doors: which one will they choose next?

🥇 Behind one door, treasure is hidden. If you choose this door, an additional 3M $WOOF will be added to the initial 30M $WOOF bank. We want that.

👌 Behind another door, there’s nothing. A liminal, empty space. Perfect for reflecting on life.

😱 Behind the last door lies death – every third participating NFT will burn, oh no.

But all is not lost: you can protect your dog by sending 0.3 $TON as insurance. These transactions also count as votes – in the comment, indicate the door number where you think the pack should go. The door with the highest number of transactions will open.

If you don't want to interfere, there's no need to send anything – the decision will be made for you, but your dogs will be at risk.

💎 You have four chances to find additional treasure. Once the game is over, we gather all the dogs that made it to the end, randomly select 300 winners (if there are more than 300), and divide the prize pool, which could reach up to 42M $WOOF! Surviving NFTs will return, while the burned ones will disappear into oblivion forever.

We've said it more than once – we have a ton of plans for the future, and it's true: our roadmap is packed to the limit. We know how to craft stories, develop apps, and play around with blockchain, but there’s one thing we haven’t quite mastered yet.

We’re not great at communicating what we’re doing and what we’re planning to do. But we’ll learn.

We bought back $WOOF from the market 🐶

Everything went just as we expected: after the announcement, the price started climbing and hit a local high on the buyback day. The next day, the chart took a dive – those who wanted to "ride the rocket" began locking in their results. Well, sometimes roller coasters are fun, but moves like this are definitely not about sustainable growth 👀

On top of that, we also bought several Telegram numbers and are gradually selling them for $WOOF. This part is even more interesting: we’re seeing some whales buying up $WOOF from STON.fi just to participate in the trades. This reinforces our hypothesis: tokens + NFTs = exciting DeFi experiments. We’ll keep digging deeper and pushing this direction forward – definitely aiming to be innovators here!

We promised to use half of the NFT royalties for market buybacks. We decided that the logical start date for collecting royalties would be the launch of Lost Dogs: The Way – a moment when many new players discovered us, $WOOF was created, and a new wave of interest in the collection began. Since August 1, 2024, we’ve earned around 30k $TON from royalties, half of which will go toward buybacks. We're adding more – bringing the total buyback amount to 18k $TON.

We’ll approach this buyback experimentally:
- 14k $TON will be used to buy back $WOOF from CEX in a single day. This will happen next Wednesday, February 12.
- The remaining 4k $TON will be spent… experimentally. We’ll buy anonymous numbers on getgems.io and immediately relist them for auction in exchange for $WOOF. This might incentivize NFT whales to enter the market and start buying up $WOOF to secure a number. It's definitely a better approach than feeding DEX bots with large orders.

No one has done this before. These are our first steps in building a parallel economy through NFTs – there’s more to come. What will the outcome be? Absolutely unknown. We’re diving in headfirst!

One open question remains: What should we do with the purchased $WOOF? Burning seemed like a good idea, but in practice, it’s not very effective. We believe it would be better to return these $WOOF tokens to the community – this way, they can create more value. But this decision is up to you – we won’t make silent moves behind the scenes.
