At a distance of more than 50 kilometers from the ship, the pilots carried out a set of measures to visually, radar, magnetometrically and hydroacoustically search for submarines. The search was carried out using standard radio equipment and the helicopter's onboard hydroacoustic station. Also during the flight shift, the crew of the ship's Ka-27 helicopter landed on the frigate's helipad while on the move.

Large formations suffer losses and are forced to retreat in small groups, clearing the way for the Russian military.
