INPRO SCHOOL
The IAEA assists Member States in capacity building through various educational and training programmes, including long-term and strategic planning for sustainable nuclear energy. The INPRO School introduces the INPRO concept of nuclear energy sustainability and develop competencies for assessment and analysis of nuclear energy systems to support national decisions on the future use of nuclear energy - see the school brochure attached.

IAEA PUBLISHED A NEW DOCUMENT on A NUCLEAR KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT COURSE FOR UNIVERSITY MASTER’S LEVEL PROGRAMMES, TRAINING COURSE SERIES No. 82, 2023.
The objective of the publication is to support Member States, particularly universities, to establish a master’s level course in nuclear knowledge management. The learning objective of the course is to understand how to establish a knowledge management culture and practice as a part of national capacity building policies and strategies, as well as an integral part of nuclear and radiological organizations’ infrastructure.

The publication provides a suggested curriculum for the development of an NKM course for university master’s level programmes, with introductory descriptions of eight modules to support the implementation of the course.


On September 21, 2023, A NEW COOPERATION AGREEMENT (Practical Arrangements) BETWEEN THE INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY (IAEA) AND THE REGIONAL NETWORK STAR-NET WAS SIGNED IN OBNINSK, RUSSIA.
The agreement was signed by Mikhail Chudakov, Deputy Director General of the IAEA, and Vladimir Shevchenko, Rector of National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, who is the President of the organization.

The STARNET network unites 14 universities from 8 countries and effectively cooperates with the IAEA, complementing existing international initiatives, including those of the IAEA, and focusing on education and training of specialists, pays attention to issues related to nuclear technology, education, training of specialists and outreach activities. A new agreement opens up additional opportunities for participation in international programs and projects on nuclear education.


STAR-NET brings its congratulations and kind appreciations in regard with the 20th anniversary of the European Nuclear Education Network!
During these years ENEN has become the leading network in the world in the field of nuclear education. It is confirmed by multiple initiatives that ENEN launched in this period: education and training courses for professionals, Master and PhD programmes, scholarships, postdocs, internships, the diversity of outreach activities, growing communication with professional bodies and education networks. Your efforts towards enhancing nuclear education and training can not be overestimated and provide the firm planform for existing and future co-operation between nuclear education networks throughout the world.
We wish to all ENEN members and ENEN management to stay keeping real enthusiasm and optimism in promoting nuclear science and technologies, involvement young generations in making their lives in the field.

The IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) was launched in 2020 by the IAEA Director General in an effort to increase the number of women in the nuclear field, supporting an inclusive workforce of men and women who contribute to and drive global scientific and technological innovation.
 
The programme aims to inspire and encourage young women to pursue a career in nuclear related field, by providing highly motivated female students with scholarships for master’s programmes and an opportunity to pursue an internship facilitated by the IAEA. Scholarships are awarded annually.
