📣 Open talk: How to build cultural projects that stand the test of change

While some debate what "real culture" even means, others are already using it as a tool — launching projects, reshaping cities, uniting communities, and setting the agenda.

At this open session by the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis, we’ll explore what cultural design really is, how to create projects that won’t collapse at the first shift in context, and why entropy isn’t an enemy — it’s raw material.

🗣️ Speaker: Oksana Moroz, Candidate of Cultural Studies, co-author of popular science, educational, and cultural initiatives, and co-founder of the MIPT Department of Cultural Research.

This session will be especially valuable for creatives, producers, managers, and everyone who wants to do more than just complete tasks — for those ready to design meaning and shape the future — as well as for anyone deeply interested in culture.

"Musician Girls," 1880

Artist: Osman Hamdi Bey
Oil on canvas; 58×39 cm
Pera Museum, Beyoğlu, Istanbul

The painting depicts two young women playing the tanbur and the def near the entrance of the prayer hall in the Green Mosque of Bursa. The standing girl wears an antari—a loose-fitting, flowing robe—with cream-colored fabric patterned in golden-yellow motifs, paired with matching baggy trousers. The seated girl wears three skirts in blue, each adorned with golden-yellow stripes.

The work features distinct Ottoman elements: carpets found inside the mosque, inlaid wooden furnishings, carved stone marble, and intricately patterned tiles.
