Filbe on a Alice Frame Simplified ⁃ One of the main complaints of the Filbe Rucksack system is that the plastic frame is prone to cracking Fortunately a metal alice frame is a fast and inexpensive upgrade you can do in a few minutes. The first step is to simply insert the frame into the frame pocket as shown in photo 2. The metal rings as shown in photo 3 simply loop around the frame and are cinched tightly. Now place both of the bottomost yibyab tabs into the holes on each side of the frame and zip tie as shown in photos 4 and 5. The tighter the zip tie the better. In photo 6 we see the two bottom compression straps are buckled in, passed over the frame and run under the pals webbing. This allows us to cinch tighter against the frame when compressing our loaded pack. Attach your waist belt and shoulder straps and you're good to go.
