Lately I've been doing alternate day fasts during my cut - I eat at matinence one day and fast the next. This is to minimize muscle wasting and continue to give me the possibility to make modest strength gains.
Not only does fasting instill discipline within oneself, but it comes with an array of health benefits.
Every so often I do an extended fast for longitivity reasons - usually about 72-100 hours.
Look into it some time and give it a shot.
