Fixes
- Device freezing on overlay changes.
- Launcher deadlocks when changing monet color palettes and after theme re-evaluation
- Also linux flashing script has been fixed.

If anyone is too worried about frequent updates, consider switching to MIUI, lock bootloader and never get a new update.

- Added color modes
- Added the pinning option in floating windows back and fix the system_server crash
- Redesigned settings homepage UI
- Dropped updater and OTA support (Lack of time to maintain it along with fastboot builds)
- Dropped compact heads up notifications
- Updated default wallpaper
- Updated prebuilt themed icons
- Fixed Launcher3 crashing in background rarely
- Moved circle to search toggle in launcher settings

Important notice related to AresOS

If you are experiencing issues such as screen freezing, non-functional sensors, distorted audio or anything very unexpected after performing an OTA update, please download & unzip the provided file and flash it using the included script, just as you would when flashing the ROM with fastboot.

This process will not erase your data and is specifically designed to resolve issues caused by the OTA update.

If you did not update via OTA, flashing this is unnecessary and will not provide any benefits. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Notice

We’ve made few changes to enhance system stability, including removing Quickswitch (including Pixel launcher) and Floating Windows due to stability issues. This update will require a clean flash. Additionally, we’re rebranding from PixelUI to AresOS. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Removing quickswitch will enable the ability to use other custom launchers like Nothing launcher, lawnchair etc. Those who want pixel launcher can also use pixel launcher modules available.

Clean flash is required because with dirty flash and removal of quickswitch both launchers die.

Changelog for Pixel UI (20/11/24)

- Use Lineage OS as base for better stability and easier maintenance
- ROM now includes battery, clock and hardware buttons settings from LineageOS
- Added wallpaper blur feature (Inspired by NothingOS)
- Drop prebuilt photos app and some more gapps
- Drop faceunlock support
- Move thermal profiles to battery settings and per app refresh rate to display settings

• Improvements and fixes

- Fixed an issue where some 5Ghz wifi network were not visible
- Fix 5Ghz and 6Ghz options availability in hotspot settings
- Fix fingerprint payement functionality in WeChat
- Fix certain performance regressions
- Fix pixel launcher themed icons in dark mode
