#privacy #news #usa
As data leaks and privacy breaches increase day by day, protecting your data online is becoming a tougher challenge😰
According to a survey that was done by USA TODAY, American people are really concerned about this.
The survey shows the most serious concerns of Americans:
🖱️84% for "the security and privacy of personal data online"
🖱️82% for "the amount of personal data being collected by businesses"
🖱️79% for "businesses collecting data to target children with personalized ads"
🖱️77% for "online games tracking children's activities"
🖱️75% for "the increasing use of artificial intelligence in businesses
Also, in another part, 73% of the participants said that they had little to zero understanding of how businesses use their personal data!
😀On the other side of the story, most participants said that if businesses increase transparency, security, and customer control in data usage, they would be more open to sharing their data.
So, the usual problem might be that when companies and websites don't follow a transparent protocol for user data privacy, users simply have no reason to trust them. Can't blame ourselves, can we?🤨
