190: This is how many journalists have ascended to martyrdom since October 7th of last year, killed by American weapons given to the IOF.
182 of them ascended in Gaza, including
Ismail Al-Ghoul,
Abed Tanani,
Hamza Dahdouh,
Jabr Abu Hadrous,
Mohammed Abu Hatab. Hundreds of others are wounded or paralyzed,
Wael Dahdouh and
Fadi Al-Wahidi. With independent journalists, the number is much higher.
7 have ascended in Lebanon, including
Farah Omar and
Issam Abdullah. Dozens are wounded or
directly targeted. In Syria,
Safaa Al-Ahmed was martyred.
Today, the IOF continues to threaten the voices of truth and the warriors of media. We say, like
Naji,
"No to the silencer!" and
"Welcome to death for the sake of Palestine!"Last week, the IOF
incited against 6 Gazan journalists, including Anas Al-Sharif, whose coverage from besieged northern Gaza never stops.
Anas acknowledged the direct threat just once, opting to continue reporting the genocide instead. He said:
Silence or death: this is what the occupation wants from me and from Gaza's journalists.
The IOF accuses him and others of being resistance fighters. Indeed, these heroes
are fighters exposing and revealing zionist crimes, bearing witness to truth to a world deaf and blind to continuous massacres, shouting the stories of a steadfast people who refuse to bow.
This is what terrifies the occupation.Anas continued:
These threats come as part of the ongoing genocide against our people and the occupation’s desire for this genocide to occur in silence. The occupation army has repeatedly tried to silence us through death and fire, whether by targeting my home and killing my father or through repeated attacks against us, like when our colleague, Al-Jazeera cameraman Fadi Al-Wahidi, was injured.
Incitement and calls for killing must stop. I am doing my job transparently, conveying the suffering of my people in northern Gaza, which is what troubles the occupation and its army—they do not want the truth to be revealed. The coverage continues.
The pattern repeats again. Today, the cowardly Arabic spokesman for the IOF, who is used to threatening civilians, issued a direct death threat to Al-Mayadeen journalist Ali Mortada. This threat came hours after Ali issued a
solemn statement in which Ali mentioned the selfless sacrifices he makes to protect his family, loved ones, and his people, by directly threatening him with assassination everywhere in Lebanon.
Ali stated plainly, exposing the usual zionist cowardice:
"He's leaving the front and coming after me. Is that supposed to be heroic? You're an army, and I'm a journalist, you donkey. To hell with you and the death you’re threatening me with. I hurt you so bad, you son of a dog, that you’re resorting to threatening to kill me."
What kind of weakness is this you display?!
Have you ever heard of the resistance threatening a journalist on an "israeli" channel?! ...What kind of army has its spokesperson abandon the entire course of war to announce they will kill a journalist and social media activist?
Why?!
I conveyed events, information, and truths about a front where the resistance is achieving military victories...where 40 Merkava tanks were destroyed, over 90 soldiers were killed, over 800 were wounded, a front where I witnessed some of these tanks burning live on air…
So the [IOF] spokesman concluded that the solution was to publicly, unmistakably threaten to kill me, all to cover up this truth.
Okay, listen here, weakling…
First: Death for us is a habit, and martyrdom from Allah is our honor.
Second: I am proud that my words reached you, pained you, and drove you to the only solution you use for every problem, big or small: "killing."
Kill—what are you waiting for?!
Kill me, and document my words triumphing over the barrels of your cannons.
Kill me, and write for me the paradise I long for, a reunion with loved ones I have awaited for so long...
Kill—because, truly, your killing me is weakness, and my martyrdom is nothing less than victory.
All power to the knights of the media. Glory to the martyrs of truth.
