❗️ Regarding humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from Ukraine
▪️ On March 8, the head of the Interministerial Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response, the head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General M.Mizintsev, informed that Ukrainian nationalists severely suppress any attempts by Ukrainian residents to enter Russia through humanitarian corridors. According to him, militants of the territorial defense battalions continue to hold hostage as a human shield more than 4.5 million civilians, as well as about 2 thousand foreigners, who want to evacuate.
▪️ Of the ten routes proposed to the Ukrainian side, two from Kyiv, Chernigov, Sumy, Kharkov and Mariupol, including one from each city towards the Russian Federation, as well as one through the territories controlled by the Kiev authorities to Poland, Moldova, Romania, the official Kyiv confirmed only one route - from the city of Sumy through Poltava further to the border with Poland.
▪️ Official representatives of the Kiev authorities and the mayors of the cities received the strictest instructions to prevent any attempt to evacuate to the Russian Federation. Moreover, person, trying to use the humanitarian corridors to Russia, are recommended to be eliminated.

▪️ On March 6, Ukrainian nationalists from the national battalion «Azov» shot a group of civilians, who were leaving Mariupol along the humanitarian corridor in the direction of Novoazovsk - two people died.

▪️ On March 9, during the weekly briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Ms. M.Zakharova informed that about two million people from Ukraine applied for evacuation to Russia, about 140 thousand people have already crossed the Russian boarder.

▪️ The head of the Russian delegation at the negotiations with the Ukrainian side, Mr V.Medinsky, noted that «Ukraine cannot control its armed forces - because of this, the humanitarian corridors do not work. But, despite this, Russia will continue to keep the corridors open for several hours and respect the ceasefire, which Ukraine does not hold. Ukrainian nationalists do not allow people to leave the cities and keep them there as human shields».
