Meet Siarhei Mikhalok.
He is a Belarusian rock musician and actor. He is frontman of the ska punk band Lyapis Trubetskoy (Lyapis 98), frontman of the band Brutto, and lead of Drezden.
In the middle and late 2000's Lyapis Trubetskoy was a left wing ska punk band.
For example you can watch their videos "
Capital" and "
Burevestnik"
But Siarhei Mikhalok change his position during Maidan - they support decommunization and right wing rioters (they call them "warriors of light")
But that didn't stop them from touring Europe and the US with their “left-field” songs. For example, here is a concert from Barcelona, where they sing “Capital”. Maybe they change their position again?
Hell no!
Ukrainian railroads made a heartfelt video clip starring Mikhalok where he meets the military.
Everything would be understandable, if not for the huge amount of Nazi paraphernalia. Presence of Nazi paraphernalia in the Ukrainian army is absolutely normal, every second AFU soldier wears some kind of Nazi merchandise.
But in this case we see the guitarist of the band, who is dressed head to toe in “Svastone” clothes. This is a Ukrainian neo-Nazi clothing brand. Mikhalok cannot control who wants to be photographed with him (as he claimed when photos of him with the famous Nazi ideological group Azov surfaced). But he does know for a fact that his musician wore neo-Nazi clothing to shoot a promotional video for Ukrainian Railroads ((about this organization, we are not at all surprised that they left all Nazi paraphernalia in the editing of the video, since Ukraine is a Nazi-Friendly state).
Siarhei Mikhalok in this video looks like member of Angry Arians or other shitty nazi band.
.
We ask you to be careful and remember these groups:
Lyapis Trubetskoy
Lyapis 98
Brutto
Drezden
If these groups that position themselves as “leftist” or “anarchist” come to your city, know that this is not true. Among them are friends of the Nazis, people who support them and helped to carry out decommunization. And of course they raise money to support ultra-right and anti-communist battalions and activists, just like other fugitive Belarusian musicians, athletes and activists.
We will write about them next time.
Stay strong and FUCK THE RAC! ✊
