Some late night thoughts on hard conversations.

Here is what I now know to be true after many years of practice.

Awaiting us on the other side of hard conversations is:

- Your credibility to be about it.
- Unf*ckwithable self-respect.
- The end of cancel culture.
- The end of shaming one another ‘better’.
- The dissolution of deciding who someone is.
- Humble pie.
- A nervous system that is trained to feel (and make others feel) safe.
- Acquiring a skillset called ‘not taking it personally’.
- A qualification in being ok with others not being ok with you.
- Knowing the value of respectful discourse and disagreement.
- An energy of compassion to call home.
- New depths of connection.
- New eyes to see through the lens of love.
- Unified liberation.
- A paradigm of peace.

When we avoid hard conversations, we miss the greatest opportunities, for all of this. 🤎
