YouTube Tests Audio Replies to Video Comments

The next time you comment on a YouTube video, you could hear its creator’s voice respond to you. YouTube says it’s testing out a feature with a “small number” of creators that lets them record an audio reply to comments on their videos.

YouTube says it hopes this experiment “enables more meaningful relationships between creators and their audiences.” YouTubers in the test group can use it by tapping the sound wave icon when replying to a comment, tapping “record a voice reply,” and then posting it as normal. However, anyone else can interact with these replies just like ordinary text comments.

For now, creators in the test group can only create voice replies in the iOS app, and only on their own videos. Where you can hear the replies seems to be limited, too; I didn’t have the option to listen to the above voice reply from YouTuber ThioJoe in a web browser on my Mac, but I could play it in the YouTube app on my iPhone 15 Pro and Pixel 6 phones.

Microsoft may train its AI on everything you type in Word and Excel

Microsoft Office has a Connected Experiences feature which reportedly allows the company to use user-created content in Word and Excel to train AI models, which means that Office may analyze articles, artwork and documents by default, without asking for user consent.

Along with that, according to Microsoft's Services Agreement, by using their products, you grant Microsoft a global, royalty-free license to use your content for providing services, ensuring security, and improving their products, including storing, sharing, and displaying it.

However, Microsoft denied the accusations:

In the M365 apps, we do not use customer data to train LLMs. This setting only enables features requiring internet access like co-authoring a document.

⚡️The Spotify Mod has recently stopped working for many users worldwide. Social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X are buzzing with memes about Spotify servers acting up and the Mod APK being patched or not functioning, leaving users frustrated.

➡️ Here is a temporary fix available until a permanent solution is implemented:

• Connect to USA VPN
• Login to Spotify.com in Browser
• Go to Your Account Settings & Set location/Region as USA
• Install The Mod APK (https://xmanagerapp.com/)
• Login into that & Enjoy
• Use VPN whenever you use spotify app.
• You can later change the region as per your Likings.

NIST is deprecating ECDSA/EdDSA/RSA as soon as 2030 and disallowing its usage since 2035.

🔑 The NIST is a U.S. government agency that sets the rules and guidelines for keeping data safe. They are used in things like online shopping, mobile phone use, and banking.

🔒 Currently, encryption methods like:

RSA: Protect sensitive information such as credit card numbers.

Elliptic Curve (ECDSA, EdDSA): Used for digital signatures, ensuring the authenticity of websites or documents.

Diffie-Hellman (DH, ECDH): Enables secure sharing of secrets (like passwords) between parties without revealing them to others.

These methods have been effective for decades, but as quantum computers develop, they will be able to break the security of these encryption techniques. To future-proof data security, NIST is advising organizations to switch to more quantum-resistant cryptographic methods by 2030, with a full transition and ban on these older methods by 2035.
