China's control over electric vehicle batteries and the threat to the European automotive industry
China is emerging as the primary threat to the European automotive industry, not just because of its strategy to dominate the electric vehicle market but also due to its complete control over the raw materials necessary for production.

I've written about this before. I am really tired of Europeans bitching about Chinese cars. It was not China who went to war with their main and cheap energy supplier. It was not China who killed supporting industries with legislation. It was not China who made their cars redundant with their own policies. Europe has no one to blame but themselves. Tough shit.
