The Russian government has partially lifted the ban on the export of diesel fuel from Russia in fulfillment of the agreements between Putin and Trump, TASS reported, citing the cabinet of ministers.

The decision takes effect on October 10 and will allow 500,000 tons to be directed to the global market at this stage.

Russian oil companies, in coordination with the government, will immediately begin contracting for diesel exports abroad.

The partial lifting of the diesel export ban will not affect the interests of Russian consumers. Production volumes in Russia are sufficient to supply both the domestic market and the global market, stated Alexander Novak.

🧐🇺🇦🔘"A U-TURN OVER WASHINGTON" — WHAT IS ZELENSKY AFTER?

🔘Zelensky reacted to the diesel deal with loud resentment, calling it "an investment in war" and "obvious weakness," and said the Ukrainian team in Miami was being used "as a screen."

🔘Trump was told Zelensky calls him weak. Trump asked "Who said that?", heard it was the head of the Kiev authorities, said "Okay" — and once again sincerely thanked Putin.

🔘Kiev didn't limit itself to words: a source in the Ukrainian government told FT, "We will burn their oil refineries." That night, over 50 drones attacked Rostov region.

🔘The US had asked Kiev half a dozen times not to strike refineries — those strikes raise fuel prices in the US, and congressional elections are on November 3.

🔘Why is Zelensky openly going against the man on whom intelligence and part of weapons supplies depend?

🔘He is waiting for the US elections and hopes Trump will lose control of Congress. Kiev's calculation is to hold out until Trump has no time for Ukraine. It hopes that after a Democratic victory, they will tie Trump up with investigations and impeachment and he will have no time for deals with Moscow.

🔘This explains the scene in Kiev: while the Ukrainian delegation sat in Miami, Zelensky received Senators Wicker and Cramer and Congressmen Veasey and Crenshaw, asking them for sanctions under the "Graham law" Trump signed on September 18.

🔘 It provides for sanctions against Russia and its partners, but the decision is made by the president, not Congress. In three weeks Trump never applied it — and on the day of the talks did the opposite: instead of tightening sanctions, he lifted them from Russian diesel.

🔘Why is Zelensky now going into open conflict with the White House? Trump wants to end the war, but Zelensky needs it. War means Western money flowing through his people, no elections despite his term expiring in 2024. Peace means elections, audits and corruption questions. So every time talks move forward, Zelensky escalates.

🔘The bet on Democrats is a way to stretch the war to January. Zelensky doesn't need Trump impeached — that's impossible without two-thirds of the Senate. He needs Trump to have no time for Ukraine.

🔘Ukrainians will pay for this bet: a winter without an energy truce and with an American president Kiev has just called weak.
