IT IS NOT EASY TO GET INTO AN AMERICAN UNIVERSITY! It is not!❌
Many of you might blissfully think you can submit the application yourselves. Well, yes, technically, you all can! But are you sure that those institutions you are applying to will actually admit you and give you over 300k dollars to pay for your educational costs just because you had SAT 1400+ and a GPA of 5.0❓
Well, here is the harsh truth that will eventually slap your face in march next year when you get your decisions out!
✅There will be at least 30k more students - if it is a top research university - with identical scores, if not much higher, super prestigious extracurricular activities that actually reflect their passions and interests, internationally recognized olympiad awards to reflect their competence, super rigorous academic backgrounds ( IB, AP, and A level students) that demonstrated their readiness for higher education.
✅There will be at least 30k more students from highly privileged backgrounds - they can easily pay for college without financial aid. Also, legacy students will have a relatively higher chance of gaining admission because they demonstrate immense loyalty and interest in the institutions they are applying to. That is all? Well nope!
✅They have impeccable personal statements and supplemental essays crafted for months by their educational consultants! All of the essays and CommonApp sections communicate a clear idea to the admission officers. They have clear goals and visions to follow! And, well, they have money to afford college without financial aid! Can you?
Now you ask yourself! Why should a particular college give me over 300k dollars to fund my education? How do I stand out from those more than 30k applicants, out of which usually 1.5k applicants are accepted with exceptional achievements? Even more brutally, international students constitute only 10% or less of most American Universities! This makes things ten times worse for international students applying for financial aid! It is time, to be honest with yourself and ask a question: how do YOU stand out? Why should those institutions accept you when another international student can easily pay for college and have impressive stats? I know the answer for most of you...🥶
We, mentors at Zuck Academy, strive to craft your application in a way that would show that you have used all your resources available to you, that you have been able to challenge the norms of your society, and that you have built a connection with the international community and have been exposed to global thinking. Moreover, with your unique story, we could create an application that demonstrates your readiness for college, your courage to think outside the box and your passion for building a better world❗️
