JESUIT MISSIONARY KILLED IN MINDANAO
Servant of God Francesco Palliola
---
Today is the death anniversary of the Servant of God Francesco Palliola. He was a Neapolitan Jesuit priest. He was sent as a missionary to the Philippines, particularly in the island of Mindanao. He was on his way to reconcile Tampilo, a native apostate, back to the faith. But, Tampilo and his companions cut his neck and pierced through a lance to it. Palliola died, while holding a crucifix and a rosary, forgiving his killers.
