Mountain Dew has announced a logo and packaging redesign, according to Marketing Drive. The company is moving away from the angular font and the shortened “Mtn Dew” name, which had been in use for over 10 years.
The new logo will feature a retro-style 3D font, along with the brand’s founding year, 1948.
Mountain Dew stated that the new typography is reminiscent of the way the brand name was written in the 80s and 90s, as a nod to the company’s heritage. The design also includes a mountain image, reflecting the drink’s name.
