Went I first went to China, I would check my Chinese bank account daily, leave as little money as possible in it, and constantly make sure my company and the bank had the same amount paid vs deposited.
My friends asked me why I did this and I told them about how American banks will steal money in small amounts and never tell you.
They were incredulous at the idea and responded: "If a bank did that in China, the owners would be in prison."
