Chess event: Carlsen vs Caruana World Chess Championship. London 9th - 27th November 2018
The Fide World Chess Championship between Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana is being held in London, England from the 9th to the 27th of November 2018.
Play will commence on the 9th of November. Rounds begin at 15:00 hours (GMT)
( Note that Agon has imposed a delay for unoffical broadcasters but apparently some will ignore this so be sure to check.)
Prize for the Championship is 1 million euros, split 60% to the winner and 40% to the loser. (if no tie-break)
The match consists of 12 games, time controls are: 100 minutes for 40 moves, then 50 minutes for 20 moves and then 15 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1
The winner will be the first player to reach 6.5 points in the classical games. Tiebreaks will be played on November 28th if required.
Rest day after every 2 games.
