"For all these things came within 50 years after." reads the margin note to Luke 21:32 in the 1560 Geneva Bible.
We are told that the tribulation, the antichrist, the fervent heat and the events of revelation are in our future by the modern church, but before what we call the 17th century the Bible stated the coming of the Son of Man occurred 50 years after Christ, followed by the millennial reign.
Revelation states this is followed by a period where Satan will deceive the nations and gathers his army to surround the camp of God's people (Revelation 20:7-9).
Could it be we are in this little season before the New Jerusalem descends?
"Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes.
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
