Bunnings warehouse has officially lost their ability to use Facial recognition technology on their customers after an enquiry found that customers did not consent to have their faces scanned by A.I.
Bunnings is now releasing footage for staff being injured claiming that this is why as they try to steer away from a class action lawsuit.
Just because they are missing/needing security in stores due to vaccine chimp outs, does not give the right to use facial recognition technology on non-consenting customers!
If you have been in a bunnings since January 2019 (when the facial recognition system was installed) there is a chance you will be able to make a claim if the law suit goes through.
for now, the systems have been forced to be shut off.
