▫️Lucknow Doctor Arrested in Newborn Trafficking Racket, Victim Baby Rescued
The Gudamba police recently uncovered a child trafficking racket in Lucknow, arresting Dr. Bhuneshwar Yadav, the owner of a private clinic, and several gang members involved in the operation. The group allegedly targeted poor families, luring them with money to sell their newborns to childless couples for large sums. In cases where families refused, children were abducted.

Chhapra: Police with the assistance of anti-human trafficking unit (AHTU), Saran, Mission ‘Mukti' Foundation, New Delhi and Child Line, Saran, rescued 87 children from the clutches of child traffickers and arrested 31 accused last year.

▫️10-year-old trafficking victim rescued in Arunachal Pradesh
ITANAGAR: A 10-year-old girl, reportedly sold for Rs. 2 lakh, was rescued from a residence in Itanagar during a coordinated operation by the police forces of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The rescue mission, carried out on Friday, was jointly executed by personnel from Tinsukia Police Station in Assam and the Itanagar Women Police Station. According to Capital Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Rajbir Singh, the child was found in the home of a woman identified as Chello Aaw in the Lobby area of Itanagar.
While one has been safely rescued, efforts are ongoing to locate and recover the second girl.
