This song is called Doxology, the term generally means a collection of hymns sung at the beginning or end of church services in Christian tradition. "Praise God from whom all blessings flow" is one of the most famous of all time, written by Anglican Bishop Thomas Ken.
About Mr Ken: He was orphaned as a child, raised by his sister and went on to become chaplain to the royals, and worked at Winchester college, where he published A Manual of Prayers for the Use of the Scholars of Winchester Collegeprayers, asking readers to " be sure to sing the Morning and Evening Hymn in your chamber devoutly." In 1695, as an appendix to this book, he published the Doxology hymn (which opens and closes the others) along with "midnight".
