Malaysia launches special operation to combat cryptocurrency tax evasion
According to financial reports, the Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (IRB), in collaboration with the Royal Malaysian Police and Cybersecurity Malaysia (CSM), recently launched a special operation codenamed "Ops Token" to address tax losses caused by cryptocurrency transactions. The program involves 38 personnel and is carried out at 10 locations in the Klang Valley. The region includes the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as neighboring cities and towns within the state of Selangor.
