A crazy descent down 875 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago — the famous skyscraper from 1969.

The most interesting part here is the facade: that very diagonal X-grid on the outside is not decoration, but the building's supporting frame. The architects moved the structure outside so that the tower could withstand strong Chicago winds and, at the same time, not be obstructed by extra columns inside—a technique that later became a classic in high-rise construction.

In the shot, the tower is wrapped in smoke from recent wildfires, and the grid reads like the ribs of a giant mechanism. Very industrial.

Nighttime Melbourne, the Ferris wheel lit up, fireworks in the background. Watching the drone maneuvers around the spokes made me want to take a ride. Not just from the ground, but right there, in the cabin, at the very top, while everything below explodes into light.

Walmart (the largest supermarket chain in the US) and Wing (Alphabet's drone delivery service) promise more than 270 drone delivery locations from Los Angeles to Miami by 2027. This is no longer a pilot project but a real strategy: deliveries have tripled in six months, and some customers order by drone three times a week, as if it's just an ordinary Uber Eats, only in the air.

The logistics are as follows: a drone carries up to 2.3 kg, flies up to 100 km/h, and the entire journey from order to door takes 10-30 minutes. So the company is effectively building a parallel infrastructure alongside regular roads, just at a different altitude.

The only thing is, I think the format is not suitable for densely populated cities yet— the airspace is much more crowded there. We'll see how these giants of capitalist progress tackle this issue.

The advertisement must scream to fly. This was decided by the general partners of MOT's concert program, and who are we to not support this idea?

So, we launched a giant ladybug with branding right at the concert in Moscow. And don't forget, the trend of 2026 is the shift from flat banners to volume: the brand no longer wants to be just a picture, it wants to be an object in the room.

It works both in stadium activations, and at festivals, and for more intimate settings, such as in shopping centers—not because such advertising screams louder than the stage, but because it physically cannot be ignored.

Catch this, it's not just a wow-shooting, but a whole short film — the kind you rewatch just to understand how it was even shot.

And the secret is more mundane than it seems: an ordinary airport wouldn't approve this, even in a hangar, no matter how you persuade them. But in this case, we got lucky — a private LATAM airfield in Brazil, their own airspace, and no one objects.

And the cherry on top: this "one impossible take" is actually four pieces stitched together so seamlessly that the seams are invisible. The operator simply decided to play it safe rather than risk for the sake of a beautiful continuous shot.

The Sphere in Las Vegas is the largest spherical LED structure in the world, and its feature is simple and understandable: it can become anything—an eye, a planet, or an abstract animation—the entire dome turns into a unified screen.

Yes, it is also a promotional medium—companies rent the sphere for campaigns, like a gigantic billboard, only volumetric and visible from many kilometers away. And it also hits well online. Still quite original 🤌

Alpe di Siusi — the largest high-altitude alpine plateau in Europe, 56 km², nestled between the Sassolungo and Schlern massifs in the Dolomites.

Monday morning, and here it is — just an endless green at almost two thousand meters altitude. Such a view is almost prescribed instead of coffee.

As the mountains of Norway prepare for the long winter season, we are counting the weeks. It's time to mentally prepare, bundle up, and stop pretending that summer will last forever — it won't anymore.

Winter is coming. Literally.

PGI is the world's largest gathering of fireworks enthusiasts and professionals: once a year, they come together in the USA for a week, this year in Wisconsin at a race track, to watch and launch fireworks together.

Drone shows have been going hand in hand with real pyrotechnics for the fourth year in a row here—not competing, but working together in the same show simultaneously. Three evenings of displays, the finale under the anthem, with a fireworks show from one of the industry's renowned teams.

The president of the convention put it precisely: drones have changed everything here, including the pyrotechnics themselves.

A bit more surf-sea content from the drone — this time Uluwatu, Bali, Blue Point spot (also known as Suluban Beach).

The drone here squeezes between limestone rocks just like the surfers themselves — there is no direct path to the beach at all: only through a narrow cave between cliffs, and only at low tide, otherwise, the passage gets flooded.

The wave, by the way, is legendary — a reef break, considered one of the best in the world, but definitely not for beginners.

Nature said "no" to the fireworks at Volksfest in Dachau — a small Bavarian town near Munich, where every August a traditional folk fair with beer tents and attractions takes place. Due to severe drought, firefighters deemed the slope above the square too dry and fire-prone for pyrotechnics.

The town, pavilion hosts, and attraction owners reacted like true Germans: they gathered, raised 25,000 euros, and in less than a week organized the festival's first-ever drone show — 200 drones instead of the usual fireworks.

The moral is simple: if nature is against pyrotechnics, we already have plan B ready.

The Australian coast seems like it was made for drone photography — the color of the water, the sand, the surf, all already a complete composition, the drone just needs to stay out of the way.

Though if you think about it — any coastline can achieve the same effect with the right light and angle. It's a pity teleportation hasn't been invented yet, so for now, we enjoy others' shots.

Another chapter with Galatasaray — this time about the transfer of Rafael Leão.

The club announced the signing of one of the main stars of European football right in the sky above Rams Park: our drones once again became part of the visual language of the club, turning an ordinary announcement into a moment that spread far beyond the stadium.

I'm going around with this feeling once again: it's nice that our Dronico team is trusted with such moments in the life of the club, not just fireworks after a victory.

Dumka is a small town in Jharkhand, in eastern India, with about 47,000 inhabitants. Green and quiet, it is mainly known for its temples and as a local sub-capital of the state.

And even here, they recently launched the first drone show in history. This means the format has reached a place where previously the loudest event of the year was a temple festival. The technology clearly has stopped being something only for megacities.

The drone here flies literally through a narrow rocky gorge straight to the gates of one of Petra's facades, a city carved into the rock by the Nabataeans two thousand years ago. The Siq, a kilometer-long natural canyon, was used by the ancient semi-nomadic Semitic people to enter the city.

The feeling is as if you've ventured into a place usually reached after hours on foot, but now you're speeding through, squeezed by rocks on both sides, and suddenly the entrance opens up right in front of you.

My favorite DJ is performing, and once again, it's not just with a set. Alok brought "Keep Art Human" to Rock in Rio 2026: 45 dancers, scenography linked with new LED panels on the main stage, and 1500 drones simultaneously flying in the sky over Cidade do Rock. A new record for a show of this scale in Latin America.

The project's meaning is not just about the spectacle: Alok is promoting a manifesto on the place of human creativity in a world where AI is increasingly advancing — meaning the 45 live dancers are not just decoration, but part of the statement.

It's telling that on the same festival night, K-pop with its polished choreography was playing nearby, and Alok responded with the exact same language, but built around both human and technology simultaneously.

The vessel "Djarnas" is a British-built cargo ship from 2001, which was torn from its mooring and hurled onto the rocks on the shore of Aftalkut, in the Dhofar province, Oman, during Cyclone Mekunu in May 2018.

Since then, it has remained on its side—a rusty hull against the backdrop of turquoise water and bare coastal hills, becoming an unexpected tourist spot in the region: photographers and drone pilots specifically come here for this shot.

Mysore is a city in India where drone shows have long ceased to be a one-time attraction: every year at Dasara, the city's main festival, a whole story is unfolded over the Bannimantap stadium. The tiger (the symbol of Karnataka state), the peacock, the goddess Chamundeshwari, the royal procession's elephant — all are woven into a single ten-minute narrative.

Formations change like frames in a cartoon, and the whole point is precisely this: the old royal tradition receives a completely new, literally glowing, language.

A school of rays gliding through the shallows looks literally like choreographed movement from the air, just without a single choreographer: hundreds of bodies move in sync because that's how migration works, not choreography.

A good reason to take a deep breath for a second at the start of the new week and just watch, not scroll.
