They're ugly. They know that they don't have any hope of ever meeting traditional beauty standards. It makes them hateful toward beauty, and resentful of beautiful people. It also forces them into a choice:
A lifetime of trying, and failing, to meet the standard?
Or go "all in" in the opposite dire...
