【Invitation to Ukrainian Independence Day Celebrations】
Two movements started off in 2014, one in Hong Kong and the other in Ukraine. Both are in defence of the last bastion of democracy and freedom. Many activists made grave sacrifices and lost their homeland.  However, we unite as global citizens showing solidarity between each other, galvanized in various protests and rallies.

On the other hand, as Hongkongers, how much do you really understand Ukrainian culture? You can get yourself immersed in their culture in the upcoming Ukrainian Independence Day. There will be lots of fun games and entertainment for kids and adults alike. The festivities will be celebrated all the way to the evening when a charity music festival will be staged at 7:00pm.  It will be filled with the sound of bagpipes as a Hong Kong musician-cum-Royal Air Force bagpiper will play an amazing rendition of the national anthems of Ukraine and the Hong Kong, as well as Scotland The Brave.

There will be a charity busking staging concurrently at 4:30pm at Piccadilly Gardens featuring a wealth of Ukrainian performers x a Bagpiper of Royal Air Force - Ming Sir x a band - Neon Night, to send our best of wishes to our Ukrainian friends.

All proceeds will go to "Ukrainian Aid Manchester".
