This year, the Harvest Moon will rise on Tuesday 21st September.
Marking the autumnal equinox, the Harvest Moon is unique in that it will appear full for up to three straight days - providing us with a greater bounty of moonlight than any other time of the year.
This will mean for many of us, our Harvest Festival/Supper will occur on Sunday 19th September, where we will give thanks for bounty we have grown and received. Perhaps weave and hang corn dollies to ensure yet another good yield next year.
