Meet Vignesh Kumar, who hails from Trichy in Tamil Nadu. For almost 15 years of watching football, he has supported a team from the and was eager to root for one from his home state.

And once the Hero Indian Super League kicked off in 2014, it was a dream come true. “I never really had a connect with an Indian Football club until came into existence,” he enthused.

Vignesh is quite popular among the Chennaiyin FC fan groups. He is known for making the journey from Bengaluru (where he currently resides) to the Marina Arena to support the two-time #HeroISL champions.

“The feeling of having our own local club can never be matched by any European team, however big they may be. I've always wanted to go to a stadium and support my own team, my local team and Chennaiyin FC made that dream of mine into a reality,” Vignesh added.

Watching world renowned superstars like don the colours of his local team, certainly added to his love for the Marina Machans.

“Fan culture in football is one thing that caught my eye & to actually be a part of it just made me live my dream. With company like the my matchday experience just got better & better,” said Vignesh, who has made watching a match at the Marina Arena, a pilgrimage.

His favourite moment, of course, is the famous 2017-18 final at the Kanteerava stadium in Bengaluru, where Chennaiyin FC beat crowd favourite and home team,
