🔎Staying Safe in a Web3 Business: Security Tips from Kima’s CTO🔎In the Web3 space, security is just as critical in business operations as it is in trading cryptocurrency.
🛡Our CTO, Guy, has shared essential business-related security tips to help protect you and the company from potential threats:
1️⃣ Be Cautious with Links✔️Only click the links you’ve specifically requested.
✔️Links in emails or documents may be deceptive—always hover to check the real destination before clicking.
2️⃣ Avoid Unexpected PDFs or Documents⛔Never open PDFs or documents unless you were explicitly informed they would be sent.
✔️Emails asking you to DocuSign something without prior notice are likely scams. If you’re unsure, verify with the sender first.
3️⃣ Don’t Respond to DMs✔️Companies do not DM users randomly. Avoid engaging with any direct messages on Telegram, WhatsApp, or Discord.
⛔Never follow links in DMs, even if they seem to come from someone you know. Always verify directly with the person who sent it to ensure its legitimacy.
4️⃣ Recognize Common Scams✔️Emails from platforms like “Metamask,” “Coinbase,” or “Binance” asking for sensitive information are almost always scams. Don’t engage with them.
5️⃣ Report Suspicious Activity📢If you notice anything unusual - unexpected links, documents, or communications - coming from Kima - create a ticket and report it on Discord immediately:
