A lot has been said about the Blockchain development in Liechtenstein, but now action follows. In just a few days LCX, the "Liechtenstein Cryptoassets Exchange", makes a major announcement. Official statement by Mr. Thomas Weidmann, Head of Communication at the Government of Liechtenstein
- sent to LCX’s management on July 13, 2018.

The publication of the blockchain law consultation report, announced on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, has been postponed to clarify any detailed issues that have arisen with regard to treatment in government and are yet to be resolved prior to the start of the consultation.

These detailed questions are to be found in particular at the interface of the definitions of the property in the digital space to the classical property law and are to be examined more closely in the sense of the long-term legal certainty. Adjustments will not affect the general direction of the Blockchain Act and the legistlation is still planned to be ratified in early 2019.

The commitment of Liechtenstein to build and support a trusted and reliable market for blockchain technologies stays as strong as before. The government is confident that the additional time invested will enhance the bill, bringing significant added value to all involved.
