: Realizing that Belle loves the Beast, jealous Gaston gathers the villagers to follow him to the castle to kill the Beast. During the battle, Gaston abandoned his friend and attacked the Beast in his tower. Beast manages to defeat Gaston. However, Gaston sneakily shoots Beast from the bridge, which then collapses as the castle begins to collapse, causing Gaston to fall to his death. The beast then dies when the last petal falls, and the servants die.

: Some years later, in the small town of Villeneuve──Belle, the book-loving daughter of an inventor named Maurice. On Maurice's way to a convention, he lost in the forest and seeks refuge in the Beast's castle, but the Beast imprisons him for stealing a rose from his garden as a gift to Belle. When Maurice's horse returns without him, Belle ventures out in search of him, and finds him locked in the castle dungeon. Then she pushes Maurice out and locks herself in the dungeon. The Beast agrees to let her take her father's place and forces Maurice to leave immediately.

: Once upon a time. A witch disguised as an old beggar arrives at the palace. She offers a cruel and selfish prince, a rose in return for shelter from a storm. But the prince refuses. As punishment for the prince's lack of compassion, the enchantress transforms him into a beast and his servants into household objects. She casts a spell on the rose and warns the prince that "The spell will only be broken if he learns to love another, and be loved in return before the last petal falls, or he will remain a beast forever."
