⚔️ Currently, the most critical situation is developing on the border of Kursk and Sumy regions, where the enemy is actively trying to put pressure on the positions of the Ukrainian military.

🛑 Zhuravka-Novenke area. Depending on the area of ​​this section, the nature of the fighting and enemy pressure is different:

- In the direction of Zhuravka, the Defense Forces are managing to restrain the enemy to a certain extent, no matter what attempts he makes there.
- Between Zhuravka and Novenki, the Katsaps are having greater success and there they are trying to move along the landings, entering the territory of Sumy region. The Ukrainian military is striking them and trying not to let them go further.
- The most difficult situation is in the Novenki area. The enemy is accumulating in the village and is trying to move to Basivka, which will open the way to the Sudzha military base, in order to physically block the logistics coming from Yunakivka. The enemy is numerically superior and this creates its own difficulties.

🛑 The enemy is also activating on the right flank of the Kursk Group of Forces of the Defense Forces, in the area of ​​the village of Kurylivka to the state border with Sumy Oblast. The goal is the same - access to additional control of logistics (both fire and physical in the future)

✈️ It is worth noting separately that the enemy has an advantage in UAVs, both reconnaissance and strike. The most frequently used are FPV drones. They are the ones that mainly carry out fire control of everything that moves "in" or "out" of Kurshchyna.

❓ How this will all end is unknown. Unfortunately, we have an oft-repeated habit of "not noticing problems that in the future will develop into bad consequences." What is the reason for this? We will monitor the development of events. The competence and authority to make decisions lies exclusively with the command and no one else. The fighters of the Defense Forces on the ground are making maximum efforts to, first of all, stop the enemy's advance, interrupt their accumulation with their subsequent pushback.

The latest developments in the Kursk region have significantly worsened the situation for the Ukrainian invasion contingent. At this point, their choices range from bad to worse—or outright disgrace.

Kyiv has shifted its primary focus to the Pokrovske direction, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting a counteroffensive. As a result, most resources—ranging from ammunition to drones—are being redirected there. Many enemy UAV units have also been redeployed from the Kursk region to Donbas.

Enemy channels are already attempting to shape public opinion, downplaying the significance of the Kursk region and suggesting that withdrawing is now acceptable since its role in containing Russian forces has supposedly been fulfilled.

The problem, however, is that Kyiv can no longer withdraw its forces smoothly—it’s too late. Nor can it properly supply them. Attempts to do so through fields and forest trails resemble a futile life support system for a dying patient.

The narrative about a "containment mission" is reminiscent of 2022, when Ukraine explained the fall of Mariupol and the surrender of 2,000 Azov fighters and marines. Back then, the official line was that the garrison had successfully held back Russian forces, and that the surrender was actually a sophisticated GUR and SBU operation—an "extraction" mission, exactly as planned.

Now, the same story is being repeated. They "held back" Russian forces so effectively that, in the meantime, we liberated nearly a dozen cities.

The real question remains: will the encircled Ukrainian units surrender like in Mariupol, or will they attempt a doomed breakout like in Ilovaisk?
