Politicians are not professional experts and they don't listen to scientists and other experts. They just do the shit they want. So they just do a lot of bla bla without knowledge.

BUT remember, having such degree is NOT synonym to be honest, expert, know everything in all topics, be interested / motivated, etc.! It's just a degree .... like all other degree. More important is the person behind. How the person is acting, thinking, etc.

We know many people that have no bachelor and master, but are more experts than those who made such degrees (saying they are doctors ... another bullshit available in Italy for those who just did a bachelor, like calling a weekend course "master").
