Today, I learned that "sinestra" (from the Latin "sinestro") means "on the left."

Now I'm going down this rabbit hole of all the ways that the left-side or left-hand has been historically associated with evil and the overlap with the values of modern leftists.

It seems arbitrary to classify good and evil as left and right but there is a rich mythology with interesting political overlaps.

By failing to uphold his promise of mass amnesty on X, Elon Musk has actually done something very gross, which is to unilaterally curate the direction of discourse like a monarch.

His favoritism to Alex Jones has guided us towards conspiracy, towards Nick Fuentes towards religious fundamentalism, and his purposeful neglect of Jared Taylor has steered us away from serious conversations about race.

In Taylor's place, he has pointedly promoted accounts like The Rabbit Hole which attack wokeism while promoting a race blind "meritocracy" compatible with billionaire capitalists spamming infinity Indians into white collar jobs through "legal immigration."

The lofty rhetoric: about our history, our traditions... those aren't a birthright. They are something you have to EARN to be worthy of.

We are a race of conquerors, inventors, artists, philosophers and everything in between. But, like every race, we have wife beaters, alcoholics, liars, philanderers, bums and cowards.

Every day we have to prove that we are worthy of the blood that runs through our veins.

I always hated reading Shakespeare in school. It seemed incomprehensibly old fashioned and pretentious. The incessant eulogizing of the man made me dislike him.

But after 4 decades I get it now.

Its epic poetry and philosophical meditations embedded in drama.

Yes, the dramatic sensibilities can seem awkward in an age where we expect "realism" from movies about comic book superheroes. Why would a bunch of guys with swords stand around and watch someone give an ostentatious 5 minute monologue? 😂

Yet no one can deny how many iconic turns of phrase were created in his plays. You can segment out multiple stanzas from any Shakespeare play that would stand toe to toe with poems by any other author.

The most frightening ramification of the politicization of academia is the pervasive distrust of all science and all history.

Liberals are actually right that the plague of conspiracy theories festering online are a blight on truth and objective reality. But its a problem of their own making.

If we cannot trust the intellectual elites to be objective truth seekers, which is the entire basis of claims to scientific truth, then every yahoo online is just as reliable an "expert" as the left-wing political activists masquerading as professors.

There has been an accelerating left-wing polarization in academia over the last century. The most unreliable information is the most recent, developed during the "woke" era. The further back in time we go, (especially prior to the 1960s) the more we can trust the dispassionate objective analysis of Western intellectual traditions.

I am very comfortable around poor, rural Whites. They are my people.

But at the same time I am consciously aware that my sensiblities are much more middle class.

When I look at how many poor White people live I'm thinking: "here's how I would improve by cleaning the yard, fixing house. Man, that cigarette habit and drinking is taking the place of a productive hobby, etc."

I haven't ever lived too closely to them so I don't know if living in shambles is just the immutable condition of the poor or if they're capable of something greater with the right opportunities and inspiration.

Charles Darwin was, in many ways, the father of race science. He believed the the European man was the most highly evolved, evidenced by his obviously superior civilization. All of the other great zoologists and biologists of his day, like Edward Drinker Cope, thought the same.

An unexamined angle of the WW2 aftermath was the moral panic about race science and eugenics, which demanded absolute ideological conformity in the sciences on the proposition of equality among races.

Blue collar populism is great but we shouldn't abandon the millions of highly educated White intellectuals who have suffered the most brutal and totalitarian indoctrination on questions of race.

The way to reclaim our elites is to purge academia of the apparatchiks who censor and persecute race science.

Another thing:

There is way more confusion over whether Jews are race or religion then is acknowledged in the rhetoric.

If you were to ask them point-blank, they would likely say that Jews are a race but then in practice they will praise, for example, Martin Luther's writings on Jews, which are 100% based on religion and not race.

They will also, in practice, treat Jews who have converted to Christianity as Europeans.

A lot of people believe simultaneously that:

a) jews are 2% of the population

b) Jake Paul (a huge, blonde Nordic looking guy) is Jewish because apparently he is 1/16 or 6.25%

Both of these things cannot possibly be true. If we are going to deny the whiteness of 94% European stock then we might need to revise the number of Jews in this country to something like 20% of the population and then revise the number of Europeans down by an equivalent amount.

This is one of those big inherent contradictions no one talks about like the overwhelming majority of antisemites following a religion founded by Jews.
