A powerful storm tore through Memphis and Shelby County last night and the damage is widespread.

A bow echo blasted the area with damaging straight-line winds, bringing down trees, power lines and utility poles.

At the height of the storm, roughly 130,000 customers lost power.

Tens of thousands remain in the dark today as crews face a massive restoration effort that could take multiple days.

The storm may be gone but for thousands across the Memphis area, the aftermath is far from over.
